Is it safe to use Hibernate 2.1.7 with Java 1.5?
I tried to compile it using jdk 1.5, but there were compile errors (on enum).
I'm using Spring 1.1.4 and Hibernate 2.1.7, I'd like to use J2SDK 1.5.0_01 and Tomcat 5.5.7, but I'm not sure about compatibility...

Thanks,
Luigi

i *think* you should be able to run under jdk 1.5 with 2.1.7 - you might have certain problems calling methods like Hibernate.enum(), but that should just be it....not a big issue in my book.

Everything else should run smoothly.
