Hi,
I don't understand the difference between the normal second level caching and query caching.

When I checked the database log without enabling query caching (using the normal second level caching) I found that it performed two database queries.
But after enabling the query caching it performed only on database query.
Why did this happen?

I can't also understand the part of Caching and Object Identity (in hibernate in action).
What does transaction-scoped object identity mean?

It seems that there is something that I'm missing
Could anyone please explain this to me.

Thanks in Advance.
Sherihan.

Well, the explanations we use are the explanations in Hibernate in Action, so you could just reread that until you understand it. I think most people don't have problems with this, it just needs some time.
