Hibernate version: 2.1.6

Hi,
Seeking help from this wonderful forum: I want to make use the <version> mapping in my entity. How do I get the latest and original object ?

Do I have to use jeft join for this purpose ?

i don't understand what you are asking for.

There will always be one and only one row for an object with a given id - and that one will be the latest one....simply get it with get/load/query or any other means.

Seems like max has misinterpret the "versioning" term - just like I did when new to Hibernate. It is not "versioning" as in "content management versioning" and the like where every change results in a new "revision" leaving the original in place. Sorry - have to implement this "revision history" mechanism yourself. Please get back to me when it's finished! ;)
