My task requires multiple databases. I'm using the threadlocal pattern which I borrowed (directly) from CaveatEmptor sample.

Modifying this utility class to support multiple databases won't be trivial -> new methods to be added with numbered parameters. Automatic loading of multiple hibernate configuration files, etc.

I want to make sure I'm not re-inventing the wheel.

Has somebody done this already?
