Hibernat for data caching

Hi
I have a table in DB2 which has about 10000 records, i want to cache this data in my web application(not session) to improve performance
Can i use hibernation for it ??

read about second-level cache.

when you mention session is it hibernate session or servlet session you are referring too ?

is there any good hibernation tutorial to get me started, which will give information about what is hibernation
