Hibernate version: 2.1

i am a newbie to hibernate and am currently using it with eclipse.

after configuring the hibernate.cfg.xml file, i try to configure the mapping file and get the following message:

" The driver class was located but could not be instantiated

sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbc "


can someone please help this novice out ???
