Hi,
In chapter 4 section 4.3.2 (Cascading persistence with Hibernate) of the Hibernate in Action book it is stated that:

Quote:
cascade="all" means to cascade both save-update and delete, as well as calls to evict and lock.

Does it mean that when an associated object is locked for update (pessimistic locking) all associated objects using cascade="all" will also be locked for update?

Thanks,
Jair Jr

Hibernate version: 2.1.6

Name and version of the database you are using: postgresql 7.2
