Please start reading the user documentation instead of reading the internal API documentation in our source code. Session is of course not thread-safe.

sorry to bother....
but i got to be sure....
this means i cant use hibernate in a session bean (except if there is always only one instance......) ?

Of course you can. Have you seen a Session Bean instance that runs in two threads at the same time? I think not.
