Dear All,

Could anybody refer me to details of HibernateException?
In the API docs, i saw there are a few subclasses of this HibernateException. I would like to know, when and how those exc get called.

Actually i would like to know how to detect which of this exception signify there is KEY DUPLICATION during record insertion.

Thank you and warm regards to all.

yes, go to the Hibernate JavaDoc API and lookup HibernateException. Then look at Known Subclasses.

CacheException, CallbackException, IdentifierGenerationException, InstantiationException, JDBCException, MappingException, NonUniqueObjectException, NonUniqueResultException, PersistentObjectException, PropertyAccessException, PropertyValueException, QueryException, SerializationException, StaleObjectStateException, TransactionException, TransientObjectException, UnresolvableObjectException, ValidationFailure, WrongClassException
