Timeframe of 3.x RC?

It looks very likely that we will be converting a major project from Torque to Hibernate over the next quarter (or two...) My question is regarding the timeframe of the release candidate state of the 3.x releases of Hibernate. My preference would be to convert to the latest version, but I cannot justify putting an alpha release in production. If in 6 months the 3.x version will be a release candidate then I can probably plan to use it now.

Thoughts?

Uhm, whats wrong with the road map on our website? I've linked it in the main navigation and no-one seems to see it...

Um... I have no excuse. I think my excitement over the Portugese version of the documentation overwhelmed me at that point in the road map and I was unable to concentrate on the remainder.[/quote]
