Hi,

I am starting a new project, only 100 man hours. We will go into production in three months.

I would like to use Hibernate 3.0, however would have to be reasonably certain that a final (or very stable beta ;) version will be avalable within this time frame....

I would be very grateful for any opinions!
Thanks,

Chris White

Hibernate3 should be available in a final release in three month, but we can only commit to Q1 2005. The beta release cycle last time was 4 months; we'll release the beta soon.

P.S. Work on 2.1.7 release continues, there have been some delays, unfortunately. As a bonus, Steve is completing two new features for 2.1:

http://opensource.atlassian.com/project ... se/HB-1300 (this basically means being able to access a TreeCache MBean from a Hibernate MBean)

http://opensource.atlassian.com/project ... se/HB-1301

Oh, and wait for the beta before you start a Hibernate3 project. If you have some time as well you could use the CVS HEAD of Hibernate3 module.
