Can I do a query / mapping in Hibernate with an oracle dbLink?

Since you can use database objects over Oracle database links with jdbc, and Hibernate just generates jdbc, there shouldn't be a problem.

I haven't tried it, so I don't know if Hibernate would choke on the <tablename>@<databaselinkname> string when specifying the database table for a class. You could get around this by setting up a synonym in the database to hide that syntax.

Of course not, just use a quoted identifier.
