It seems that if I remove the schema property from the XML mapping and just try to use the default_schema in hibernate.properties, everything works except the ID generators.

The ID generator works only if I have the schema in the XML mapping. This seems like a bug since I have seen someone else posted this and never got an answer.

Hibernate version: 2.1

Mapping documents:
<id
name="fooId"
column="ID_FOO"
type="java.lang.Long">
<generator class="increment"/>
</id>

Name and version of the database you are using: DB2

The generated SQL (show_sql=true): select max(ID_FOO) from FOO_TABLE

This is known, and most likely will not be fixed.

Actually, there were changes to the lifecycle of IdentifierGenerators in Hibernate3, and I've managed to fix this (in HB3 only).
