Hibernate version: version 2

Name and version of the database you are using: Mysql

Hi,
I have 2 little question:

1/ Is it possible to backup your whole database by means of hibernate?

2/ Is it possible to define all the properties (like password, username, jdbc-driver, ...) in the java code, without the use of a property file?

Thanx in advance...

Stijn.

1 - not really what Hibernate is made for - you could load all objects and then write them out with XmlEncoder or something.

2 - yes
