Hibernate version:3.0.5

Name and version of the database you are using: MySQL 5.1

Is there a way to remove the proxy objects that Hibernate uses to intercept modifications to my domain objects without cloning the objects? We would like to use these objects on a detached client without requiring the Hibernate lib there to deserialize the proxies.

Thanks in advance & best regards,

just some ideas:

1. look at the doku:

2. maybe using a TransferObject:

That is what we were trying to do; however, the described approach seems to leave the proxys as tehy are, thus requiring the hibnerate libs to deserialze the objects. Maybe when using actual RMI this would work?

We had been using transfer objects before, but wanted to skip using them for I think obvious reasons. However, I think we'll have to contine using them, at least for the serialization.

Thanks anyway for your response!
