						 Hibernate version: 2.1.6

 I am having a performance issue when I hook in connection pooling using c3p0. When I don't have the connection pooling in I see a performance boost of about 3-4 times faster. I am using JTDS 0.8.1. I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if I am doing something wrong in my configuration.

     resultList = session.find( query, params, types );
     session.close();
