It seems there are many similar questions about using composite-ids and I understand you guys must be very tired of us. Can you just put together one complete, exhaustive tutorial that discusses using composite IDs in every typical case, and then these threads can be considered closed, forever? Yeah, right. I know people will keep asking the same questions, but at least they can be directed to the tutorial and scolded for not searching for it first.

I think Hibernat in Action does cover this in Chapter 8.3.1.

There is also the test.* package in Hibernate with many many examples. No handholding though.
