jobs is a table in pubs DB in sqlserver, is someone could tell me the meaning of the above.

Though the expert might immediatly know what the problem is, it would be sensible to provide a bit more information (like what HQL statement is producing the error, give a glimpse into the mapping and other involved objects).

This way simple forum folks like I am have a better chance to be able to help you :-).
