Hi,

I'm using Hibernate 2.1.4 with Oracle 9i.

I need to embed an Oracle hint after the SELECT statement in my HQL queries. I have searched this forum and I know this is possible by using a SQL query, but this is not suitable for me, since my application is written to use HQL queries and depends on the mapping that Hibernate performs.

All I really need is a way to intercept and modify the SQL that Hibernate creates when processing HQL before the queries are run. Is there a simple way to do this?

The forum messages suggested that this feature might be added in the future. What is its status in Hibernate3? (upgrading won't be a possibility for me at least until Hibernate3 is stable).

Many thanks,

Tom.

It should be really very easy to patch hibernate to allow this.

Advantage of open source...

Ok, I'll have a look.

Any pointers?

Thanks,

Tom.
