I am wondering if i can ever persist a class like this and how.

Code:

public class Composer {

  private AbstractClass ofMine;

  public Composer() {};
  public AbstractClass getAC() {return ofMine;}
  public void setAC(AbstractClass subclass){ofMine = subclass}

}

Key idea here is abstract classes.
Seems like Hibernate has a limitation using properties handling abstract classes since they cannot be instantiated as it wishes them to. Can anyone please prove me wrong through example?
