Hi All!

I am in the process of writing some basic hibernate code.

I have learned that there are two way to deploy.
    hibernate.cfg.xml
    MBEAN (jboss-service.xml)
Can someone outline the differences in the tow approaches and their advantages and disadvantages ?

Also, would the client code change, if the deploy method was changed ?

TIA,

Kunal

In general, use a MBean for JBoss if you going to use EJBs (normally) SLSBs.
This allows Hibernate to employ its managed connections and CMT facilities. Furthermore it can be managed by a JMX console.
Use a configuration file if you are using just a servlet container. Gives you the feedom to change providers easily. It comes down to your use case and what you feel comfortable with.
