Hi,

I have followed an interesting discussion on EJB and Struts http://forum.hibernate.org/viewtopic.php?t=929653&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

I am wondering Do we really need to use EJB with hibernate. I see that Hibernate already has its own transaction management.

So what is the advantages of having EJB ontop of hibernate. Any one care to share their experiences.

Hibernate does not have a requirement to be use with session beans. It is totally flexible in terms of deployment.

In short: Reusability.

How? Develop the business methods once and for all, re-use from (be it) local or remote clients.

My personal concerns are declarative transaction and pooling
