Hi All,
I am new to Hibernate. There are 2 configuration files. When should we use hibernate.properties? And when to use hibernate.cfg.xml?

Why we need to have 2 files? Can we consolidate into one?

Thanks,
Andy

Hibernate's configuration can be specified in hibernate.cfg.xml as a replacement for the hibernate.properties file or, if both are present, override properties.
