Hi,

Is there a simple way to make the generated QSL query (as being executed by the database engine) visible starting from a HSQ query, without actually invoking it.

The main use is to determine the database load of a query before launching it, for performance strategies.

Thanks.

What is a HSQ and a what is a QSL query? If QSL is SQL, then the answer to your question is no, but yo should have a look at the JDBC driver wrappers that can be found on the External Projects page.

I should have learned from the past .... never post in the morning before the obligatory 3 cups of espresso ... :-/

Indeed SQL and HQL were the correct abbreviations.

Thanks, I'll have a look at the tools you mentioned

I'm still having problems with this ... those wrappers just create an overhead I just don't want everytime I execute the query (FYI I'm using it from within a WebSphere AppServer).

I just want to show the SQL, starting from a HQL query .. nothing more, nothing less ...

I was looking at the QueryTranslator, class, hoping it would be able to assist in this, but couldn't find my way with it.

Anyone else tried to do this???

Thanks
