Hi,

I have been using Hibernate for my Persistance needs for some months now. I know the how-to-develop hibernate classes aspect of it
(with verious types of relational mapping)

I can explain how Hibernate classes can be developed, XDoclitized for easier developmnent etc.
But when it comes to convincing I mostly draw a blank.

Most users ask questions like:
How heavy is the Hibernate layer at runtime, in terms of performance ?
    How does it work ?
Does it have a application server component/ engine to be installed and configure ?

Any clues on this ?
Any performance/ load tests related studies done on Hibernate ?
Are the results available publicly ?
Any idea of a succesful commercial product using Hibernate, to vouch for it ?
