 Post subject: Oracle 9i and Object size

I am trying to store objects in Oracle 9i - and I have noticed Hibernate generate the field size as varchar(255).

Is there a way to make this a blob - some of the object I want to perist are quite large?

look at the sql-type attribute of the column element.
