I was wandering the limitation of the detach attach feature.

It seems working quite well when the mapping between objects from the backend and their representation in the front end is straightforward.

Unefortunatelly when objects from the backend have no direct representation in the frontend; meaning when you need to adapt how business objects are mapped in frontend; it seems to represent a limitation of the detach attach mechanism or may be did I miss something.

True, but usually, there is no big difference between those 2, since the "screen" view was the starting point of your analyse
