I am using the latest Hiberante with Oracle OCI 9i driver. If I have a TNS Names file configured with the database connection parameters, Hibernate works just fine.

If I specify an Onames server in my sqlnet.ora however, the Onames server is not found when when Hibernate attempts to store an object.

I verified that the machine can see the Onames servers.

Is there anything in Hibernate that assumes TNS Names? My DBA's are scratching their heads with this one...

Thanks!

BTW
Hiberante has greatly decreased my development time! Thank you Hibernate Team!

Test your setup without Hibernate. Use JDBC directly, thats what Hibernate does.
