Hi guys,

I have hard time figuring out how to use mentioned tool and some others (schema export for example). Nothing I download works till I fix classpath issues etc (correct jar filenames etc). Is this "ok" or I have downloaded wrong files?

What I need is called here "middle out", ie from hbm to java/ddl. I might need ddl2hbm as well. What is the "shortest" path to get mentioned working?

thank you in advance,
Mike

P.S.
Yes I've read TFM, still confused.

Thanks for the answer.

But what tasks??? Here is a list of tasks for hibernate tools:

Quote:
D:\temp\hibernate_tools\tools>ant -projecthelp
Buildfile: build.xml

Main targets:

clean Cleans up build and dist directories
compile Compile the Java source code
copylib Copy jars to lib dir
copysource Copy sources to dist dir
dist Build everything
extras Copies miscellaneous files to root dir
info Echoes useful system properties
init Initialize the build
jar Build the distribution .jar file
javadoc Compile the Javadoc API documentation to dist dir
rar Build a JCA distribution .rar file
Default target: dist

I guess you are talking about something else...

If you would like to look at a sample ant build script that uses different ways of developing, try the build.xml with this sample distribution.
