 Post subject: Blind updates, deletes

What's the best way to do a blind delete or update?

I want the equilvalent of:

delete from table where colvalue = 'foo'; -- or even, just "delete from table" to clear it.

I see the section on SQL queries, but a query isn't what I need... (or is it?)
