Just wondering if hibernate can save something of Object type but persist it' subclass


ie

public void save(Object obj) {

...
session.save(obj);

}


main() {

save(new User());
save(new Animal());

}


That way I could have one generice save method in base class

hem, I think session.save(Object) is kind of doing that, no ?
