Hi, I'm new using Hibernate...

I have a struts web app, with Hibenate PlugIn...

My question is:

1- Wich is more convenient to use: Hibenate PlugIn or Tomcat dbcp ?

2- How manage the session creation and connection poling... Every action (request) open & close session... Is it good ?

How should I work ?
Thanks,
Alejandro

This is not realted to the same part. Use both.
1 session per request is usual.

You can set hibernate.connection.datasource to the jndi path you configured for the tomcat datasource and hibernate will lookup the connection there. If you not close sessions? You will get all kinds of connection leaks and other funny stuff.
