Hi,

during profiling my application I see, Xalan needs up to half a second.
Xalan is used for the XMLDatabinder which is experimentel (?).
I'am wondering if it makes sense to make the XMLDatabinder optional and increase the performance?

I make the profiling with 2.1.1.

Yes, by configuration. Two suggestions:
    - a defined but empty "hibernate.xml.output_stylesheet" disables XMLDatabinder
    - an additional parameter "hibernate.xml.databinder" which default is "enabled"
