The hibernate mapping dtd specifies an attribute named 'foreign-key' for the 'one-to-one' element. I've stepped through source code and searched the forums and documentation, but I can't find out what it does. Anybody have an explanation?

property-ref is use to link object in a one-to-one way but not sharing the same id (using a FK which is the property-ref)
I think there is some info in the reference doc and in the FAQ

property-ref, yes. But there is also an attribute foreign-key in the DTD.
