We have recently upgraded to 2.1.1 and have noticed that Cacheing is now on by default. How do we turn this off?

We need to turn this off so we can audit users loading an object using an interceptor - with Cacheing on we miss some - as the interceptor is not called when the cache is used.

Thanks

Ben

Thanks - we mistook session caching for second level caching.

As a side question are there any notes on the strategies for auditing with Hibernate. We are trying to do this with Interceptors - but are not sure they are being called in all situations (e.g HQL being executed that does not load objects).

We have implemented something like this for Insert/Update and Delete - but are now trying to audit selects.

Our initial thought was to use a load interceptor - this works but we are not sure if HQL that pulls back values will trigger it.
