 Post subject: query with "special" class property

There is possibility to create query that restricts class of returned object to specified value (using special class property). This approach is applicable only with table-per-class-hierarchy mapping strategy. Is there any way to do the same thing while using table-per-subclass mapping strategy? I was not successful so far...
