Is there some way to watch what Hibernate inserts into the DB - the actual values.

I am watching the log of the SQL statements, e.g:

Hibernate: insert into Interview_Answers (INTERVIEW_QUESTION_ID, ANSWER_ID, ID) values (?, ?, ?)

but I would like to see the values that are being inserted to find out why this is happening:

0 [Thread-4] FATAL nz.govt.msd.inet.HR.HRExit.Struts.SectionCSubmitAction - net.sf.hibernate.JDBCException: Could not execute JDBC batch update

Thanks!

To log bind parameters set log4j.logger.net.sf.hibernate.type=debug in your log4j.properties.

To fix your problem try setting hibernate.jdbc.batch_size=0

I find p6spy very useful.
Search the forums, there should be a couple of topics around on using it.
