Hi Boardmasters,

would it be possible to enable the phpbb functionality to edit your own posts afterwards? I sometimes find myself posting something containing little errors and would prefer to be able to correct them immediately instead of posting another follow up to clear this up. Does anything stand against this?

Michael

Bad thing, mostly posts are read and answerd like chatting. reread a changing post can be confusing. That's my opinion

Some boards I have used allow you to edit your posts for a short time window after you have posted, which allows you to correct mistakes without cluttering the conversation. But I agree that you shouldn't be able to edit the post after some time window for the reasons you states.

This would be great allready for me, I dont know however if phpBB has this feature. I concede that allowing edit all the time may kill readability if people don't use it properly - so maybe does more harm than good. So I will just have to watch out i dont post such crap :)

You also need to consider those that have email notification. They get both versions.
