Post subject: Hibernate 1.1.8 and Oracle 9
PostPosted: Wed Dec 17, 2003 2:28 am
Dear all,

I would like to know if hibernate (version 1.1.8) support Oracle 9. If yes,
is the dialect string same as "cirrus.hibernate.sql.OracleDialect" or have any other dialect string?

Thanks.

So long ago.........From memory - Oracle 9 support was added much later as it supported the ansi outer join syntax. There are many simlarities so try the Oracle dialect as it will most be fine.

It is better if you upgrade the 2.1.1 though.
