Is it possible to store configurations in such a way that startup time is minimal ?

I'm trying to cut down time for the processing of xml mappings...

Ideas?

This is the #1 feature request at the moment.

So someone needs to do something about it ;)

P.S. The solution is: make Configuration serializable, which is not at all hard, I think.
