hi all,
related to topic "broken pipe" i'm trying to use another pool, can someone say me what does "hibernate.c3p0.validate" property manage?
In the documentation and on the web we can only find this : Should we validate the connection on checkout. (optional) (hibernate api doc) but does it manage exactly?

thanks

AFAIK this makes c3po validate if the connection is still usable before handing it to the client. This is useful because in some cases (MySQL by default for example) the connection gets closed from server side or such stuff
