Hibernate 2.1 final

hi,

I found in the roadmap of Hibernate 2.1 final the following items:

1. Add Session.saveOrUpdateCopy() (DONE)

what can I do with this method ?

2. cleaned up configuration-time metamodel to allow the user to manipulate mappings at runtime (DONE)

what configuration parameters can I manipulate at runtime ?
can I manipulate id generation ?
can I manipulate the timestamp property ?
