If show_sql is true, is there anyway we can get some details about the parameters. In my view, it will be helpful to get some info on parameters used in the preparementStatement?

Just looking at the SessionFactoryImpl class, I think my answer is NO but figured check with others?

Thanks

Different approaches:
1) latest proxool dbpool has the ability to print the args out.
2) Use http://www.p6spy.com to see whats going on.

For me, adding following line to lo4j.properties solved the problem:

log4j.logger.net.sf.hibernate.ps.PreparedStatementCache=debug

OK for older versions of hibernate but 2.1 no longer has the prepared statement cache.

I use this line in Log4J properties:
log4j.logger.cirrus.hibernate.type=debug

This is for 1.x...I'd assume it would still work in 2.x (once the package names were changed appropriately).
