Hello -

Is there a mechanism for creating a 'proxied' object for persisting a relationship? By that I mean creating a logical 'stub' or a 'reference' that holds only the ID of [an existing] referenced class?

If that didn't make sense, I can clarify.

Yup:

session.load(Foo.class, fooId);

returns an uninitialized proxy ;)
