Hello,

I have seen the anouncement of Hibernate API refactoring in Hibernate 2.2. Is any summary of planned changes/enhancements already available somewhere?

I would be especially interested in ability of providing custom session and/or session factory implementations and more callback methods for control of the HQL query execution.

Michail.

http://hibernate.bluemars.net/44.html can provide some insite. You could also ask this type of question on the dev list.

Thank you David. I have already looked at this list (actually my question was a result of it, because I have not found any details about coming changes there). Is it the actual state on this page, i.e. is some more (detailed) info available?

it's still a work in progress and more in the minds of the developers than in any written form....but as this is opensource we welcome suggestions for what parts of hibernate (and how) you like to have "events" or more extensibility

Well, e.g. execution of SQL statements is one of the very interesting events for me - if I could get a callback on this kind of events I would be able to use much more features of the underlying DBMS. May be, a kind of session listener could be a solution for it?
