I am trying to determine if an entity exists within the currently active session (using its identifier). I've tried using contains, however, I discovered that it returns true if and only if the exact object instance exists. So, with that said, is there any way to determine if an entity exists within the currently active session using its identifier?

Thanks in advance, Tom
