 Post subject: JVM crashes under HP-UX

We experienced JVM crashes using our application, Babel, at a customer site under HP-UX with HP's Java version 1.3.1.06. Using the core dump produced by the JVM, HP now identified the problem as being a call from Hibernate that caused the HotSpot compiler to crash the engine.

If you're using Hibernate under HP-UX, make sure to upgrade to at least 1.3.1.09.
