Hi,

I am a beginner in java and ... I am just discovering Hibernate.

I have to develop an application that can work with different types of RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, Sybase, MySQL ...).
I think that hibernate can enable me to achieve this goals, but I am wondering if we can use it with RAD like Borland JBuilder or Eclipse ?

Thanks in advance for your answers... and sorry if it is a silly question.

Sylvain

If you mean use Hibernate inside these IDEs, of course.

Yes it will. There is a basic plugin on source forge called hibernator http://hibernator.sourceforge.net for eclipse and some support for IDEA http://www.intellij.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/HibernateTools. Obviously using ANT you can work in both worlds as most IDEs have good support for ANT these days.
