then compile, but how to I deploy it on jboss ? shall i make a jar file ?
I tought that when I run the build script that came with the source I would have create the table in the database, that is not happining.

The article details the setup for Topcat alone. JBoss is not required for this example to work. In the begining I suggest you follow the article rather than complicate it for yourself. The database can either be created by Hand or using schema export.
