In Hibernate 2.1 beta 3 changelog I saw, that "null value of version property now indicates unsaved instance".

Does it mean that version property type shouldn't be primitive type?

E.g.: Should I use "java.lang.Long" instead of "long"?

Thanks,
Dominik
